East Rockaway seventh graders commemorated Veteran's Day with a special lesson honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps on Monday, Nov. 10.

Veterans Day celebrations began at Rhame Avenue Elementary School with a special visit from Sam Kinzer, a 2019 East Rockaway School District graduate now serving in the United States Army.

Centre Avenue Elementary School gathered this morning to pay tribute to local veterans in a moving Veterans Day ceremony that brought together students, staff and community heroes.
