East Rockaway hosts districtwide STEM Fair at ERHS

East Rockaway celebrated innovation, curiosity and hands-on learning at its annual districtwide STEM Fair, held at East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School. The event brought together students, families and staff from across the district for an exciting evening of science, technology, engineering, and math.
In the main gym, the science fair showcased project displays from sixth-grade students at Centre Avenue and Rhame Avenue schools, alongside impressive entries from middle and high school students. From environmental experiments to engineering prototypes, the student work reflected thoughtful research and creativity.
High school research students delivered formal presentations in the science classroom, offering visitors a deeper look into their inquiry-based projects and scientific processes. Meanwhile, in the small gym, students had the chance to pilot drones, giving them a hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.
It was a night of exploration and celebration, highlighting the district’s commitment to fostering a love of STEM from elementary school through high school.
