Centre Avenue kindergarteners ease into the school year at supply drop-off

Wednesday was a big day for Centre Avenue’s kindergarteners. With backpacks in tow and arms full of supplies, our newest students arrived to explore their classrooms and take their very first steps into elementary school life.
The event, organized by our wonderful kindergarten teachers and support staff, gave each family a personal moment to meet the teacher, see the classroom, and start settling into the rhythm of the year. Principal Calia Kelly welcomed parents and students at the front doors, where balloons marked the entrance to the kindergarten wing. One by one, families were guided inside to drop off supplies, meet the aides, and gather information about schedules and lunch routines.
The morning ended on a sweet note: each child left smiling, clutching a packet of “Ready Confetti” to slip under their pillow Tuesday night—a little magic to help them wake up excited and confident for the very first day of school.
