Lights, Camera, Action: East Rockaway Students Visit NBC Studios

Students in Ms. Mullin's Mass Media and Communication class at East Rockaway High School got a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most iconic broadcasting destinations in the world when they visited NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Center.
The group toured the historic landmark, taking in the studio where Jimmy Fallon tapes “The Tonight Show” and the legendary stage where “Saturday Night Live” has been filmed for decades. NBC pages guided students through the experience, sharing the rich history of both the building and the network behind some of America's most recognizable television programming.
The trip wrapped up on an interactive note, with students stepping in front of the cameras themselves in a mock NBC studio – taking on the roles of lead anchors, weather reporters and plaza fans for a hands-on taste of life in broadcast media.
