East Rockaway students shine at Long Island Children's Museum art exhibit

More than 100 East Rockaway School District students are showcasing their artistic talents at the Long Island Children's Museum's third annual student art exhibit, now on display through Jan. 30.
The exhibition, featured in the museum's second-floor Community Gallery Space, highlights works from students across all three district schools. Centre Avenue School and Rhame Avenue School contributed 51 pieces combined, while the Junior/Senior High School added approximately 60 additional works to the collection.
From Centre Avenue School, first-graders Noelle Simpkins, Caitlyn Weber, Salome Ochoa and Ryan Murray are among the youngest exhibitors. Second-grade artists include Frances Horn, Vincent Boccuzza, Michael Michale Miller and John Murray. Third-graders Amelia Perez, Esther Morales and Liam Kohlmier contributed their work, while fourth-graders Luke Schemmel and Abigail Espinoza represent their grade level. Fifth-grade artists Elliot Graham, Sophia Ottaviano, Yostin Ramos De Leon, Thiago Pinedo Valdiviezo and Dainella Rios are featured, along with sixth-graders Athena Mery, Maya Alvarez, Max Keitel, Aaron Diaz, Brielle Anthony and Jackson Romano.
Rhame Avenue School's first-grade artists include Miley Beurkert, Charlotte Venteluth, Anna Chervinyak, Kathalea Sigua, Salvatore Maniscalco, Jaylee Marroquin, Mackenzi Walker, Logan Melo and Calaina Delp. Second-graders Dominick Scammacca, Bobby Vitacco and Rori Evensen showcased their talents, while third-graders Russell Tavormina and Colin Gross contributed their work. Fourth-grade artists Madison Beurkert and Theodore Casas are featured, along with fifth-graders Jaxon Nigro, Jakob Nigro, Lee Abamonga III, Zoey Evensen and Scarlett Fuchs. Sixth-grade artists Max Mora, Nicholas Germani, Chase Kearns, Connor White, Ethan Gemma and Jose Sotomayor Vera round out Rhame Avenue's contribution.
The Junior/Senior High School's exhibition features work from 66 students: Natalie Matthews, Ann Marie Piazza, Joell Diaz, Liam Davila, Adriana Hernandez-Herrera, James Gianotti, Owen Falbee, Briana Ramos Rodriguez, Byran McKenna, Sebastin Espino, Louis Greco, Sophia Acampora, Amy Gamache, Olivia Small, Ashley Guardado, Mia Vetere, Zoe Moore, Claire Harvey, Leni Van Gulden, Angel Ramos Rodriguez, Julia Kilgus, Vinny Vilardi, Elena Wang, Liam Rodriguez, Mason Marmo, Hailey Hill, Travis James, Alexa Rios, Georgia Vesce, Kevin O Hanlon, Joseph Fiorentino, Zane Ying, Liam O Pierre-Louis, Jayden Perez, Debbie Jermia, Jason Paderinos, Bella Pecere, Julian Umana, Arti Krasniqi, Colin Harvey, Simon Grubelich, Katie Liu, Joseph Burress, Alaina Bouderau, Darla Mendoza, Destiny Diaz, Eric Chen, Matthew Gicewicz, Michael Gicewicz, Ashley Rios-Morales, Elia DeCrescenzo, Sofia Zappia, Zainab Khan, Giuliana Paul, Ellie Nowakoski, Yvonne Hu, Winter Lara, Jase Boyer, Soleil Monge, Antonio DeMatteo, Remy Bruno, Ava Olson, Josette Mendoza, Brigid Peknic, Iman Shah and Thomas Donovan.
The exhibit is open to the public during the Long Island Children's Museum's regular operating hours and will remain on display through Jan. 30. Community members are encouraged to visit the museum to celebrate the creativity and hard work of East Rockaway's young artists.
