Full Sail University brings hands-on learning experience to ERHS students
Full Sail University recently traveled from Florida to provide ERHS students with an immersive look at their innovative programs in technology and music.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, representatives from the university presented to the high school music department, sharing information about their comprehensive music programs with members of senior chorus, senior band and senior orchestra. The presentation highlighted the various course offerings and unique opportunities available to students interested in pursuing careers in the music industry.
The visit also featured an engaging 3D art workshop that gave students a glimpse into the world of digital design and animation. During the hands-on session, students explored Forger, a professional 3D modeling program used in the entertainment and gaming industries. Working collaboratively in groups, participants were challenged to design and model their own characters from scratch.
Each student took on a specialized role within their team – character designer, modeler or texture artist – mirroring the real-world workflow used by professionals in the field. This structure gave students authentic insight into how creative projects are developed in studio environments.
The interactive workshop provided students with valuable exposure to career pathways in digital arts and entertainment technology, while the music presentation offered aspiring musicians a comprehensive overview of higher education opportunities in their field.
Big thanks to Full Sail University for the presentation!
