East Rockaway UFSD welcomes Ms. Kristen Anisis as Director of Humanities

East Rockaway UFSD is proud to welcome Ms. Kristen Anisis to the district as Director of Humanities. In this role, Ms. Anisis will collaborate with K-12 staff to enrich instruction in both English language arts and social studies, supporting students throughout all grade levels.
Her responsibilities include aligning curriculum across grade levels, serving as a trusted resource for teachers, analyzing and sharing instructional data and guiding the district through state initiatives and assessment updates. She will also work side-by-side with teachers in the classroom—modeling effective practices and fostering a culture of continuous growth in teaching and learning.
Ms. Anisis brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She most recently served as Assistant Principal in the Port Washington School District and previously taught secondary English in the Freeport and Seaford school districts.
Ms. Anisis looks forward to working closely with teachers, students and families as she settles into her role and contributing to the continued growth and success of East Rockaway schools.
