East Rockaway High School hosts stunning pre-prom parade at waterfront

On June 26, East Rockaway High School juniors and seniors gathered in style at the Talfor Boat Basin for the annual pre-prom parade, a beloved community tradition hosted by Mayor Gordon Fox. Set against the scenic backdrop of the East Rockaway waterfront, the event offered students a chance to shine before heading off to their prom celebration at the Coral House in Baldwin.
Dressed in glamorous gowns and sharp tuxedos, students arrived ready for their big night. Friends and family filled the pier, cameras in hand, as each student - or pair or trio - was formally introduced and made their way down the promenade. Applause and cheers echoed along the waterfront as everyone took in the dazzling array of styles and colors.
After the official parade wrapped, the celebration continued under the gazebo where students, families and friends gathered for group photos, hugs and well wishes. The picturesque setting and joyful atmosphere made for unforgettable memories to kick off prom night.
