will meet once a month with ideas or concerns.
Last year two meetings were held and three people came. Anything related to SPED can be
discussed. Special Ed also includes
Ms.
Gerbert Teacher Rep. –
Ms. Gerbert
was not present. Mrs. Kreit spoke on her
behalf and informed the members that Ms. Gerbert is the liaison for teachers
and parents. You can contact her by

She is vey happy to work with board and parents.
Special
Guest Speaker – Vera Gallagher from the
East Rockaway Education Foundation
Good luck
to new Board. She has been on Foundation
Board for ten years. The Education
Foundation is a partnership for school and community. Its purpose is benefiting the children. It is a not for profit group and is separate
from the school district. It is open to everyone. We meet every month at 7:00
pm.

are in tact, thanks to the budget being passed.”
Book talk -
First Book - “Inner Work of Mindful Parenting” - October 23, 2009
deadline. Suggestions are welcomed for
second Book Talk. Heather at East
Rockaway Library is getting book or you can go to Amazon.com. A night meeting was suggested for Book
Club.
We already
had Patriots Day and Constitution Day.

Information
The
“Welcome Tea” and “Back To School Night” went great. Thank you to Maureen Brower our Hospitality chairperson. Membership had a big turn out. Pickup an envelope, Frogs on the PTA bulletin
board will represent our membership. Thank you to Jeanie Radigan and Tanya
Irvine with the Bulletin Board.
