About the Foundation
The East Rockaway Education Foundation, Inc. was created in 1998 as an independent, non-profit organization to provide financial and creative support to the East Rockaway public schools by identifying and mobilizing available resources and by fostering partnerships and linkages among our schools, community, businesses, and industry.
 
The Foundation will seek to raise funds to supplement the school budget so that each of the district's students may become all that he or she is capable of becoming.
 
Initial ideas for our fund raising to support include the following: scholarships, enhancements of the educational environment in areas like video technology, distance learning, and telecommunications, and augmented funding for the new science research program, science labs, and the district's music and art programs. In addition, we are always open to the suggestions of the community.
