Participation in activities such as golf, project adventure,                                  

inline skating, tae – bo, step aerobics, and weight training                    

helps students develop personal best skills for maintaining

good physical health throughout their lifetime.                                     

 

Students who study yoga develop increased flexibility,                                        

and excellent muscle tone.  Strength, posture, and weight loss             

are also enhanced.  Mental health benefits of yoga                               

include calmness, stress reduction, and body awareness.

 

 

Working with teammates in sports activities, such as soccer,

rugby, basketball, volleyball, and flag football helps to develop

physical fitness, social emotional and collaborative skills

that will benefit students as they become adults in the workforce.

 

 

 

Routine physical activity reduces the risk of future health-related ailments such as diabetes and heart disease.
